Rubinstein, Anton. (1829–1894) Autograph Musical Quotation SignedAutograph Musical Quotation Signed ("Ant. Rubinstein"). 4. 5 X 9 inches, toned stripe to right edge otherwise fine, matted and framed with lithograph portrait by Doris Raab to 12 X 21 inches overall. The pianist composer has penned a virtuoso passage, marked "Allegro non troppo," possibly from a cadenza. Dated "London, 1 June 1869." Rubinstein left his native Russia in 1867, undertaking a "triumphant tour" through the greater part of Europe (Grove).
